Marty Linsky is Co-Founder of CLA and has taught at Harvard’s Kennedy School for over 25 years.
He served as Chief Secretary and Counselor to Massachusetts Governor Bill Weld; Assistant Director, Harvard’s Institute of Politics; Executive Editor, The Advocates, PBS; Editorial Writer and Reporter, The Boston Globe; Editor, The Real Paper; Assistant Minority Leader, Massachusetts House of Representatives; and Massachusetts Assistant Attorney General.
Marty has published widely, in print and online. He has authored or co-authored 10 books including, with Ron Heifetz, the best-selling Leadership on the Line (Harvard Business Press 2002) and, with Heifetz and Alexander Grashow, The Practice of Adaptive Leadership (Harvard Business Press 2009).
A graduate of Williams College and Harvard Law School, Marty lives in New York City with his wife Lynn Staley. He has three children, works out every day (9 marathons, but no more!), enjoys Mexican food and collects baseball cards.
CLA co-founder Ron Heifetz, is also the founding director of the Center for Public Leadership at the Harvard Kennedy School. He is renowned worldwide for his seminal work on the practice and teaching of leadership; he speaks and consults extensively in the United States and abroad with leaders in business, government, and nonprofit organizations.
Dr. Heifetz’s research at Harvard focuses on how to build adaptive capacity in societies, businesses, and nonprofits. His courses on leadership and authority are among the most popular in the university, and his widely acclaimed book, Leadership Without Easy Answers has been translated into many languages and is currently in its twelfth printing. Leadership on the Line: Staying Alive through the Dangers of Leading, written with Marty Linsky, was published in 2002, and his newest book, The Practice of Adaptive Leadership – Tools and Tactics for Changing Your Organization and the World, written with Marty Linsky and Alexander Grashow, published in May 2009.
A graduate of Columbia University, Harvard Medical School, and the Harvard Kennedy School, Heifetz is also a physician and a cellist, having studied with the Russian virtuoso, Gregor Piatigorsky.

Ignacio Martín Maruri
Ignacio has held senior management positions in telecommunications companies as a consultant to Latin American governments and has had close ties with international foundations involved in sustainable development. Professor of post-graduate studies at the Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez Business School. He has an MSc in Engineering and Telecommunications from Technische Hochschule Darmstadt, Germany; an Executive MBA from Instituto de Empresa, Spain; a degree in NGO Management from UNED; and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Harvard University where he received the Don K. Prior to 2007 Cameron’s work focused on Africa and the Middle East, mostly based from Ireland and England. He was CEO of an Education NGO based in London, Director of an Irish NGO and a board member of selected large and small organizations. Alexander Grashow is a Senior Advisor to Cambridge Leadership Associates (CLA), an international leadership and consulting practice. Before becoming a Senior Advisor, Alexander held the position of CEO of CLA.
